Excellent rousing sounds from this "New, new wave" group. Reminisent perhaps of the early 80's groups such as XTC.
With lyrics about Saturday night town-centre violence, tis my kind of music.
The stand-out tracks on the album so far are the singles "I Predict a Riot", "Oh My God" and "Everyday I Love You Less and Less." But the others have grower potential.
Fav Lyrics:
"Watching the people get lairy
It's not very pretty I tell thee"
Note the comedic use of "Thee" archaic indeed but funny as fuck.

"Thee" is in fact contemporary dialect (esp. NE), just like "lairy".camus wrote:

And if you mean North East I lived in the North East and rarely heard the word thee. Cept from the strange man on the corner who still keeps whippets.

I like the character of this band, but I have to admit they sometimes live up to liam's condemnation of the kaisers as 'a bad blur'. Not as imaginative as 'the futureheads', a far better 'northrock' alternative in my view.
