James Blunt, love him. My friend said that he lacks an edge beacuse he is a mums and dads fav. Any thoughts?

I agree, he lacks that required edge.

Although I do like some of his songs, the three wise men with a semi by the sea, always gives a chuckle. Alas destined for dinner party background music.

For current songwriters with the required edge, see Bright Eyes and Devendra Banhart.
