Thanks Lake. I had to do this from an old photo, as I never knew my grandfather. The photo would have been taken in the early 1900s.
Portraiture takes a lot of practice, but it's great when it starts to work. I gave my mother a portrait of my late father for her birthday a few weeks ago, and she loved it. Makes it all worthwhile.

Thank you Seth! I have a whole album of old family photos, so will no doubt be producing more portraits of this type in due course.

Thanks Jane! Yes, definitely a good-looking grandfather. Wish I'd known him, but all my grandparents were long gone before I appeared on the scene.
