Newly thawed water drips down,
slips mystically--defying physics--
at an angle managing to get between my neck
and shirt.

With widened straddles I skirt
the emerald pool: out of reverence:
of fear of freezing: of loneliness
and a second class
rescue system.

Albino eyeless things flit round
underneath, by imprint or instinct--
some such natural map.

My headlamp flickers out.

I thought you'd joined the AA at first Moose. Go on, give me a clue.
Like it though, the way you put it together.
Thanks for the read.
