Before porn on screens
held in your hands
postered our flesh
into a cliché,
a see, hear,
no inhale, touch, taste.
It was our secret.
Myrtle and wine were banned,
so we put it in the honey pot
and called it milk for our lass,
the earth, an offering,
and between our thighs
was a little myrtle perfume
a honey pot
for men to sup our milk
past the petals
that held a mystery
that healed and mothered
so it was a hot delight
for you when you entered
through our doors into light
like a snake amongst the healing
of our well tendered gardens
herbs pungent and lively.
And, yet, is your knowledge
of what was once secret
a blessing, or as life, two edged ?
Good Lass, Earth

I think if I understood what it was then I'd get the rest of the poem, but I don't and I can't.

I'm out of faith and in my cups
I contemplate such bitter stuff.

Thankyou for commenting Ray. The first liquid mentioned is alcohol which N, calls milk and feeds to the earth, the second is female ejaculation which is expelled from a woman’s cervix in very small quantities (a few drops) and is milky and sweet.ray miller wrote:It was our secret.

Thankyou for commenting, Seth. It needs work.Antcliff wrote:Couldn't make much of this one, Paul. Sorry.
It feels slightly under-organised.
