Bit of craic
You got me curious about digital painting. Don't have a clue as to how to do it but I had a little go on Paint for the first time today.
OK. It's rather minimal but it has given me a taste of what you can do on there.
I will have a look around and try out the tools offered and see what I can achieve.
Hey ho. Only one way to learn how to swim, and that's to jump in and get your cozzie wet.
Cheers.
Actually, on reflection, I rather like this. I feel it could look rather effective on a large canvass.
I could adapt it with each season.
Whoooo. My head is a whirl of ideas.
Well thank you kindly Ross for the nudge into digital painting.
Yay, I'm excited to see where this can go.
Thank you.
Great fun, Pauline. Looks like a city at night.

Just enjoyed messing around for a a while and experimenting with digital art.
I'm not a huge fan of this type of art but can appreciate the more time spent on manipulating imagery, you could produce a great piece.
It's clear by my offerings they are simply my basic introduction to Paint
and I'm sure there are way better programmes than Paint out there.
I will say however, if I did chose to go digital, I could get rather excited as to where this could take me.
I don't think that will ever happen by the way, as I love nothing more than manipulating paint, watching the different effects you can achieve
and the glory you feel when you finally get the image you were seeking.
It was fun, but like my pledge to stick to dry January, it was short lived.
dear Pauline
interesting how it reminds me of a print by Ben Shahn

Pauline,
glad to see you are experimenting. I see you have quickly realized the potential of Paint. I used to print them out using photo quality paper, quite good for Xmas cards and framed prints. I had 3 printed onto canvas but it's not cheap if you want good quality inks. Same with printing, it's the inks that chew up the money.
All the best
Ross
