Hi Sheperdess,
This was again a deep poem which brought to my mind the recent bombing in the Lebanon and made me think of how many women there had their whole families wiped out and had to dig amongst the rubble to find their children after the bombings.
I felt very moved by your description of a mothers love as she continued to dig through the night looking for the most precious thing in her life. Very evocative of the recent troubles.
