Very nice! I think Donne would likely have seen merit in your reading. Milton OTOH was a very serious bloke (being a Roundhead).
Cheers,
John
Milton or Donne?
Sorry we missed this, John. Congrats on your weight loss; it is good indeedy (^v^)
As you know, Alek and I have been watching a few things about the Stuarts. We found another drama to watch over the weekend, Charles II: The Power and the Passion. It's probably a bit fluffy, so to speak, but it could be entertaining.
I watched Mrs. Brown yesterday during an exercise session, with Judi Dench as Queen Victoria. That was very well done, and I wish there were more films like it, as I struggle to settle down and read about history sometimes. I really liked the films about the reign of Elizabeth I too, with Cate Blanchett starring (^v^)
Well, it's all relative. My target weight is still some distance away! But thank you for the good wishes.
I'm glad you've been finding good history programs. Dame Judi Dench is splendid! Her face and voice were the best things in Belfast.
Cheerie,
John
