Hi,

I stumbled across this excellent site a couple of days ago whilst tentatively looking for a safe place to post a couple of the poems I have just started writing again after a gap of some years. I look forward to participating and to getting to know a few people.

Welcome

glad you thought the place was excellent. That's down to the site construction team and the moderators, mostly.

If you are looking for a 'safe' venue for your poems, perhaps the beginners section is a good starting place. There's nothing 'wrong' with posting in the experienced section, but the criticism there tends to be rather more direct.

I hope you are encouraged by the feedback. Look forward to reading some of your poems.

Thanks for the welcomes. I will be sticking strictly to the beginners' section, but will read a little more before posting any of mine ... the quality of the ones I've read so far makes me start to feel that I may be a little out of my depth here!

You'll be fine.

Good to have you on board. Enjoy the experience. I'm sure your poems will be better than you imagine. Anyway, this is a good place to sharpen your writing skills.
Cheers
Dave
