... to say I am new and this site seems like it will do me a lot of good. Not sure how to describe myself. Have only started writing poetry seriously in the last two months. Not sure I have a style yet - still trying things on for size. Would appreciate constructive feedback. Look forward to getting to know some of you better.

Hi LadyT,
I guess a bunch of us arrived at about the same time! Welcome (though I've been here only for a few days). I look forward to reading more of your poetry.
I took the suggestions and am not posting in beginners. I'm glad you read about haibuns. Mine is probably not a good example of the genre.
Cheers,
Elle

Hello to you too, ladyT. I also have just started writing again after a long hiatus. This really looks like a fine place to improve, eh? So let's settle in and get good (bravado, ftw)!!!

Hey, I go away for the long weekend and suddenly, it's going off. Nice to meet you all.
Gidday Ladyteazle,

Welcome LT.
Indeed, an influx!
Which is most excellent, I hope all you newbies stick around.
Only recently us regs have been bemoaning the lack of new talent, so get your poems out.
Nice.
