Eroticized

The room is adorned with myriad women
But my eyes focus solely on you.
I observe every change of your facial expression
And absorb everything that you do.
The refraction of light into my retinal space
Starts a pleasurable chain of events;
The chain-reaction begins as my pupils dilate
Craving more of the images you’ve sent.
Trying to balance foolish against brave,
I dare a glance at your contours and curves
As your voice reaches me in sensual waves,
A flowing formulation of words.
My visual and auditory senses delighting
Whilst urges driven by the others I am fighting,
Your messages mixed, though some do seem inviting!
I’m yearning for touch, and olfactory sensation,
To maximise my sensory exposure,
And a taste of the delicacy that provokes excitation;
A taste to play with and experience and savour.
My passion is rising, growing to the size of my ego.
A question arousing; from here, where do we go?

You seem to talk about "her" as a set of body parts. Is there nothing more to it?

What are you talking about? I discuss eroticism from the perspective of the five senses. We are, after all, dealing with a situation in which emotions have yet to play any part, the initial stage of visual attraction and stimulation.

I think you probably lack manners or perhaps forum type etiquette.

Try introducing yourself, instead of ramming polls down our throats, ease in gently my Eroticized friend.

I think lacking forum type etiquette is a fair criticism, though I'm not lacking in manners, I can assure you. I'll become more accustommed to the ways of the site in time, and as for the poll, don't they just add a little fun? I really like when someone includes any kind of poll, serious or otherwise.

Ok I mistook you for an idiot, apologies.

Welcome indeed.

I must agree I'm a big fan of lists, polls I guess have that same addictive quality.

cheers

Well to be honest the polls seemed a little one sided. As in this is what the answer should be because I think so, this is the pointless alternative. Hence contradicting the whole idea of a poll.

But hey lets not get into all that nonsense again, lol.

As I said welcome Matt, look forward to more poems, perhaps poll-less.

His first day and already you're suggesting castration?

Harsh. Emasculation cometh but once in a man's life...

Maybe when he's been here three days then we bring out the penile guillotine...

sorry, not keen- I don't find it erotic to say things like "The refraction of light into my retinal space " but it's unique, I'll give you that! Maybe you're trying to be ironic...

I don't like the inversion of word order in "Whilst urges driven by the others I am fighting" seems a bit forced.

Can't help but think this line defines the poem "My passion is rising, growing to the size of my ego."

Sorry Matt :?

p.s. a little tip I picked up from posting in forums, don't take it personally, accept any critique with good grace and if someone is rude or obnoxious, ignore them.

All the best.

Kris,

You can be rude. I'll be obnoxious. Tomorrow we swap.

Sound good?

I don't think I've ever been called a pillock before. Come to think of it...I've never seen the word before. Thank you for broadening my horizon(s).

I thank you all for your contributions, and must confess that the girl in question, a gorgeous, sexy French 20 year old called Marlène, RAN, though I must add that I think that discovering I was 33 had a little more to do with it, but hey, you can't win em all! :)
