Be it rain or wind,
or stones of ice that crack the
skull like coconuts
In the beginning there was nothing, and it exploded. (Terry Pratchett on the Big Bang Theory)

skull like, coconuts
collide making hollow sounds
beneath waving palms
to anticipate touching what is unseen seems far more interesting than seeing what the hand can not touch

forming a crust over chips
smothered in red sauce

smothered in red sauce
I evaluate my life
and decide to leave
to anticipate touching what is unseen seems far more interesting than seeing what the hand can not touch

I'll stay til half four,
because after that, my train
won't wait anymore

Whilst gathering pace
the stone lost all its old moss
yet picked up no fresh
After letting go of branches and walking through the ape gait, we managed to grasp what hands were really for......

yet picked up no fresh.
It sat, calm, waiting in vain.
But after a while...
In the beginning there was nothing, and it exploded. (Terry Pratchett on the Big Bang Theory)

But after a while
on its damp and shady side
slugs and snails gathered
After letting go of branches and walking through the ape gait, we managed to grasp what hands were really for......

slugs and snails gathered
and painted their slime over
the cold stone surface

solid underfoot,
until cracks show through, brittle.
Humans, bickering.

with the sun, while the women

Wait for the new moon -
it's only just been ordered.
Could be a long wait.

Could be a long wait.
The line stretches far away,
from the pearly gates.

more like a flat bank
never the less, it has charm
in every dip.
