I was going to suggest "misshapen" rather than "misshaped" then I wondered what is a clerihew, anyway? I looked it up and it emphasised that the lines of the couplets are of unequal length, so perhaps not. It reminds me of that song, "all the world is football-shaped, it's just for me to kick in space."Who was it who sang that?
I'm out of faith and in my cups
I contemplate such bitter stuff.
I had to look Clerihew up also! it was feedback from David that highlighted them! I am still learning the ropes and have no real history of poetry writing or education so even things like 'stanza' are new to me!
As for your song lyrics - I'll give you a clue, it was the same band that were making plans for Nigel?
Very good, Mick. I noticed the reply from David and I must say you've started your Clerihew career with a goodun. There's much fun to be had with the opening name and Billy McGoo is a great start.
Good to see some more forms about the place, fair dues you have experimented a fair bit of late and have come up with some enjoyable writes.
I like this one, and will have to have a look at the form with a view towards having a go when time allows.
You are writing a lot of late, you must be inspired.
All the best
Tim
to anticipate touching what is unseen seems far more interesting than seeing what the hand can not touch
