Hello everyone,

My name is Harry, and I'm from Zimbabwe. I've never let anyone read my ditties, and am looking forward to a bit of exposure as well as learning from the pros. I've had to wait a couple of days for my account to be activated, and have therefore had lots of time to browse through the excellent poetry that people seem to be so full of. I've never had more than occasional exposure to the internet, so had little idea about how much great stuff was out there.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to writing a bit of commentary and dropping the odd piece I've written so that perhaps the experts out there can nudge me (or kick me if needs be) in a better direction.

Hello everyone,

Harry

Welcome Harry,

I am sure you will hve some fun here - experts is too strong a word, I certainly would never claim to be even close to that but you will find lots of people here with a love of language.

Look forward to your comments and your writing.

Sorry about that - had a beer festival and camping weekend to go to and I forgot to change the activation procedure - a poor excuse I know!

Welcome Harry, I was just like you previously my poetry was very private before joining. Personally coming here was the best move I have ever made. I have learnt so much and I feel most of what I write now has been improved by contact with others here. Welcome on board and look forward to seeing more of you around the forum.

That's a great reason actually!
