Painting by numbers
Wow! I never heard painting by the numbers explained as well as this:
"reckoning nature
is a sum of parts"
that is brilliant.
Good stuff.

"Poetry's unnat'ral; no man ever talked poetry 'cept a beadle on boxin' day, or Warren's blackin' or Rowland's oil, or some o' them low fellows; never you let yourself down to talk poetry, my boy." C. Dickens

Long over due a comment on this, congratulations on the October highlight. You have come a long way from joining this forum for the anagram poems and certainly rank as a poet in your own right. After the recent discussion you have captured this very well here.

Beautiful. I loved every word, every image, every beat.
And I loved the spin on numbers and the universe. It conjured thoughts of Fibonacci, and the flawless, perfectly numerical systems we see replicated in nature all the time.
Bravo, encore.

Hello Neil,
I liked this very much. The simplicity is inviting but also idea of the whole being a sum of the parts can be so universally understood.
Yes, I concur, you have bloomed since you arrived. And I am glad you found PG. You are a wonderful addition to the mix of styles and creativity.
Very well put together.
