Something old
to denigrate, a bowed
scaffold to bounce
upon. Ragged
bones: make
me young
all over
again.
Someone new
to be unfaithful to:
a new first-fuck
awkwardness to
shiver my way
through.
Something borrowed,
passed around like a
the corporate needle
infecting, tempting…
beautiful, like
she used
to be.
Something blue
about the lips
but red at the
hips: to rock
me down
to death.
Something old...

Bombadil, I like the raw honesty in your writing, what I have seen so far. Last stanza is killer, then again so are the others. Damn!
All of the stanzas follow a pattern..
Someone (or something)
you are yearning for (?)
cool description:
statements
addressing
recipient
except for the 3rd stanza.
I am not sure if this was intentional, but it did catch my attention.
Look forward to reading more of your work,
Jennifer

Have I become the resident shock poet? Sorry to ruin your perception. It's never all good, but it certainly is never all bad, either.
jk,
Welcome, from me, if I hadn't yet done. My writing is likely the only place where I completely honest with myself. Bear in mind though, I don't always write as myself...so I mayn't actually be totally cracked. I look forward to seeing more of you.
Cheers.
