Don’t get too excited, David. I’ve been reliably informed that de Funes was massively popular in Germany, but was more Benny Hill than Jacques Tati. Oh dear…

Great Boosh clip, Nash. The hat gag was brilliant.

Same here. I'm loving it all, but that "Jazz" spoof was a killer!

I usually have an aversion to cute animal videos but what the hell? If you can't post one at Christmas when can you post one.

I really hate to say this, but that is SO cute!

(Mind you - Teddy (!?) is probably saying - you're not getting any of this, so you can jog on, lady!)

I'll see your porcupine, John and raise you some pandas!

I love Stan and Ollie's hats, and the whole family gathered around to enjoy the cute animals. (Cute animals. Honestly. What's become of us?)

And Anchorman? (I'm guessing.) Never seen it, but that was fun. So is this ...

Pandas, Boom Boom, other material that will have Ros calling by and saying we have lost our edge and need some harder critting. So it is time to get in step boys...

Here's a seasonal black comedy horror film from Finland that's on the telly tonight, Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale.

An archaeological dig in the world's largest burial mound uncovers the still living Santa. He's kidnapped by some locals and they attempt to sell him back to the corporation sponsoring the dig.....and then the elves come to free their master.

Sounds cracking, Nash. Now, if I can just get the rest of my family to watch it...

Not one for the kiddiwinks on Christmas Eve, then? Probably a good job I'm not a dad.

Set that to record. So we're sorted, unless the children stay up late watching something else, in which case I'll lose either this or The Spiral Staircase.

Oooh, is The Spiral Staircase on too? Not a bad film, that. I see they've got a short season of early Hammer films on too over the next few days.

And, of course, a seasonal M.R. James adaptation, by Mark Gatiss this time round.
